Allwayswithyou

Allwayswithyou is a health management app designed for elderly users and their caregivers. The app provides support, transparency, and tracking of health data and updates.
This project was focused on a redesign of the caregiver’s view in the app and was led by a team of three UX designers and writers and two company stakeholders, with a timeline of October 2022 to December 2022.
Helping older relatives live more independently while giving caregivers peace of mind.

The problem: Family members and care team members need accurate health information and relevant notifications in order to best support their loved ones in home health management.

The team’s design goals included identifying and redesigning streamlined workflows for informal caregivers, designing a dashboard for caregivers to have visibility into the general wellbeing of their loved ones, and understanding the key struggles of an informal caregiver in their quest to help their elders manage their health. We conducted research through a questionnaire and discovery interviews to establish three main goals for information presented to users: timeliness, relevance, and education.

After synthesizing results of the research, we redesigned the dashboard, conducted usability testing, and iterated on high-fidelity screens. The biggest obstacle users faced was the confusing naming conventions of screens, as most users were based in the United States but the original design was written in British English.

Through making adjustments to microcopy and conducting A/B testing, we were able to increase usability on the screens by 33%.
